The Center for Developmental Biology and Regenerative Medicine at National Taiwan University is committed to cultivating talent in the fields of developmental biology and regenerative medicine in Taiwan. To this end, the Center offers undergraduate students from life science–related departments the opportunity to participate in summer research training. During this period, students will join research laboratories led by affiliated faculty members to learn techniques related to developmental and regenerative biology and to engage in hands-on research projects.

NTUCDBRM Industry-Academia Alliance: Collaboration Kick-Off

Under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Industry-Academia Collaborative Alliance Program, our center established two alliances: the Translational Biomarkers Alliance and the Organoid Generation and Patient-derived Tissue Repository Alliance. On September 11, a collaboration kick-off dinner was held, bringing together academic and industry partners to foster multiple cross-disciplinary collaboration opportunities and promote innovation and sustainable development.

The Professor Feng-Chou Hsieh Memorial Lecture and Interdisciplinary Symposium

The Developmental Biology and Regenerative Medicine Research Center and the College of Medicine at National Taiwan University jointly organized the inaugural Professor Hsieh Feng-Chou Memorial Lecture and Interdisciplinary Symposium on July 10, 2025. The event attracted over 70 participants from various fields, including 4 international speakers and 16 local experts. The primary goal of this symposium was to honor Professor Hsieh Feng-Chou’s outstanding contributions to the medical community in Taiwan, and to continue the academic legacy of his promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.

CDBRM 2025 Summer Program Joint Research Presentation (August 22, 2025)

On August 22, 2025, the CDBRM at National Taiwan University held its Summer Program Joint Research Presentation and Networking Event. Fourteen students from NTU, NCHU, NTNU, and the University of Virginia showcased their research in areas such as cell and molecular biology, developmental biology, regenerative medicine, gene editing, and multi-omics. The event included oral presentations, cross-lab interactions with participants from the Neurobiology Techniques and N1 Biotechnology Summer Program, and a special lecture by Illumina Inc., fostering academic exchange and industry connections. The day concluded with a networking banquet, further enhancing collaboration and interaction among students, faculty, and mentors.

ACTIVITY

Keystone Symposia – Mitochondrial Biology in Health and Disease

Our center, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Medical Research of National Taiwan University Hospital, successfully hosted the prestigious international conference “Keystone Symposia – Mitochondrial Biology in Health and Disease” from January 13 to 16, 2025, at the NTU Hospital International Convention Center.
The event attracted over 140 international scholars from 19 countries and more than 64 local researchers, making it a grand occasion for global academic exchange.
